One of the first spin off companies of Curry Supply was Central Hydraulics. Curry Supply had a department that managed a large inventory of hydraulic hoses, belts, and other components to support in-house manufacturing and customer’s part needs. The Ritchey family saw a great opportunity to build a brand that not only supported their internal business but provided to an external market for these same components. Central Hydraulics was incorporated in 1995 and a repair shop started shortly after to repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.

In 2008, Central Hydraulics continued to grow and needed a larger facility so they moved to East Freedom, Pa. to expand their repair capacity and add a machine shop. In 2009, the company opened a new facility in Eighty Four, Pa. (20 miles south of Pittsburgh) to service and support Marcellus Shale fracking and drilling business.

In 2016, a 32,500 sq. ft. addition to the Central Hydraulics facility was complete that added additional machining and repair capacity. The East Freedom facility is currently 50,000 sq. ft. for manufacturing, distribution, and repair. Central Hydraulics works throughout the U.S. with OEM’s of all sizes within the oil and gas, rail, agriculture, construction, and aggregate industry.

In August of 2019 Central Hydraulics rebranded as Curry Fluid Power to better align with the Curry “Family of Brands” and help customers avoid confusion among companies that shared the same name.
